Original rules preservedChecks a posted program against Empower's machine profiles and shop standards. The interface below is the original inspector. Its rules run on the server, so they never reach the browser, and programs aren't stored.

Dimensional Inspection
Runs in your browserOpen the drawing (PDF or a picture of it), the posted finishing program and, if you have it, the 3D model (STEP). Callouts are read by Print Prep's reader: text PDFs, scans and photos, inch or metric, and Print Prep-converted copies. The program is checked against the drawing, the model is checked against the drawing, and the program is checked against the model at each location. Every result is MATCH, MISMATCH or UNVERIFIED, with its evidence. Files never leave this computer.

3D models (STEP)

A metric print the way customers send them: ISO 2768-m, an h7 fit, limits, sideways diameters, plain chain lengths and a 2X fillet. The same print as a PDF, as a scan and as a Print Prep conversion, and programs written the way a shop post writes them (no G20, rough and finish passes, cycles). Each loads the drawing, a program and the model.
How to read the results
- MATCH
- Programmed value is inside the drawing tolerance.
- MISMATCH
- Programmed value is outside the tolerance.
- UNVERIFIED
- Not enough information to decide. Check it by hand.
The result is never assumed. If a value can't be read, matched or trusted, it's UNVERIFIED with the reason.

Print Prep
Runs in your browserDrop in a customer print and see everything on it: every dimension with its tolerance, in the print's units and in inch, the general tolerances, the units and why, and what isn't a checkable dimension (GD&T, threads, notes). It reads text PDFs, scans and photos, sideways sheets and Print Prep-converted copies. It doesn't convert or balloon the print. Files never leave this computer.
